Nah it’s alchemy.
The ability to touch one material and transform it into another. Think:
Want to get rich? Turn a brick into gold.
Want to get drunk? Turn water into wine.
Someone trying to kill you? Turn them into wood.
Someone trying to restrain you for scientific testing? Turn the shackles into cream cheese and any needles for sedative into butter.
Want to create a carbon-fibre body panel? Just touch your steel one (or make one out of paper and turn that into carbon fibre.
Want to cure people of cancer? Cut them open and touch the tumour, turning the cancerous cells into water.
Want to cure thirst/world hunger? Turn vast swathes of sand in Africa into water which will make agriculture possible in areas that are too arid.
Best power ever, and not one people usually think of...

I think the ability to control time is the most powerful. No need to duplicate or shape shift when you can stop/fast forward/reverse time
